The residence has an area of 100 square meters divided into three levels and is suitable for up to 5 guests. It encompasses:
1. An upper level loft-style bedroom area with a queen-sized bed and windows with views of the sky, sea and mountains, integrated wardrobe, desk, bookshelves, hi-fi and wall-fitted TV.
2. A ground level area containing the main entrance, bathroom, kitchen, dining area, living room with two large couches, one of which may be converted to a single bed, a wall-fitted TV and door leading to the large outside veranda area with dining table, chairs, bench and steps to both the lower courtyard and a small private garden with lavender, thyme, daphnia and olive trees as well as an open-air shower. The veranda has ladder access to an exclusive rooftop area sundeck with two chaise lounge sunbeds for those wishing to relax under the sun in an ambience of infinite sky and stunning views of Ioulida, the Aegean Sea and surrounding mountains.
3. A lower level bedroom area with a queen-sized bed, en-suite bathroom, a wardrobe, desk, library, wall-fitted TV and access to a small private courtyard with table and chairs offering perfect shelter from any summer winds.
4. An adjacent superbly furnished guest room capable of accommodating one adult.
The house has WiFi, TV, a kitchen fully equipped with built-in electrical appliances including filter coffee and Espresso makers, all necessary cutlery and utensils. The owner has enriched the house with an extensive library of books covering many genres including art, science, history, philosophy and classical literature. The house's central location provides equidistant access to all the island’s best-kept secrets, including those of its pristine Eastern region, and the owner (a British philhellene who has lived and worked in Greece for more than 30 years) is available to offer advice about how to find them, including some lesser known beaches blessed with crystal-clear cobalt-blue waters where, even during high season, one may be virtually alone.
Apart from offering a base for a wonderful summer vacation in Kea, the house is a permanent residence with full central-heating and excellent insulation and can thus constitute the perfect off-season writer’s and walker's retreat with many of the island's ancient walking trails starting virtually at its doorstep.
